What is this light driving me nuts. Done changed hydro oil and filter and pickup screen. No change. can run 1000 rpm will flicker vary dim. Go down to 850 rpm or so will get brighter. at the 1000 rpm with it dim flicker I can raise the frontend loader and it goes out. I can not find much info on this problem

thanks greg

It's been a while since I drove one of those, but I don't recall a light even being there, and it's not shown in the parts drawings.

A P.O. must have installed it, but what does it monitor?

Also, what is to it's right, if I recall correctly, MFWD switch would be there (if so equipped) or a blank plug.

Yes it has hfwa

4040S is a european tractor... Red
light should low charge pressure or
low trans pressure, I don't remember
for sure. Sensor is in a line under
the cab about where your left foot
would be. Should take the same sensor
as a 4240 4440. been 15 years since I
worked on one

Found the sending unit on the tractor. Same line that comes from the main pump in the front. It goes into a block that feeds the accumulator. The sensor is stamped 98 Bar.. That is around 1400 psi.. Checked rear remotes right at 2100. So I think def sensor that is no longer available. So going to run with it.. My guess sensor has something to do with the HFWA. I do not use so.... Just a nice light saying she is alive!!!

I think that this sensor indicates pressure on the brake and steering circuit. Your priority valve needs few shims added and you will be alright again.

This is where the sensor is right side under right foot sitting in tractor. The block that it screws into has a line from the front, one going to the accumulator, and the other line to the rear end housing. The in line is about 1 inch and the out line is about a inch on the block that the sensor screws into
