JD 4100 Lift Arm Shifted Off Tractor

I got a 4100 a few months ago from an auction. Runs great so far, but noticed that the left lift arm on the 3pt is coming off about 3/4 inch at the connection to the tractor. Is it just a matter of trying to bang/press it back in place? The teeth seem a bit rusted- do I spray some WD40? I'm a newbie in every sense so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Should have mentioned, the lift arm was like that when I received it. I have not used the lift arms yet.

The parts manuals shows there should be a snap ring retaining the arm. Part number CH13489.

Soak it good and then see if you can drive it back on

Thanks all, I'll give it a try this weekend and buy the snap ring.
