Hey guys, I have a 52 B that I've owned for about 20 years (it hasn't run in the last 10). I've started the process of disassembling parts off of the tractor so that I can clean it up, fix some bits, and paint it. When I removed the flywheel cover, I discovered that the flywheel appears to be stained red.
I've seen this condition on other tractors from watching youtube videos. What fluid is causing this?
As a related question, I'm trying to stop all of the leaks (well, as much as is possible). There is a lot of greasy buildup behind the flywheel and all over the starter. Would this likely be coming from the cork flywheel spacer washer (oil seal) or from the transmission cover that is partially under the flywheel cover?
Thanks,
Jason
