JD 2440 electrical issues

I have changed the starter, ignition switch and a couple relays. Cables are new along with battery. I can jump across the battery and it will spin, and power is leaving the ignition switch but not getting to starter. Any suggestions?

Buy a voltmeter! Check for connections/continuity across nuetral safety switch on top, front of rockshaft housing.

Sounds like you bought a lot of parts before you did any troubleshooting, that's the backwards and expensive way to do things!

Had the same issue with a 2440 awhile back. Found the connection on the key switch was rusty which wouldn't send power to the starter solenoid. If I put the tester on the switch terminal it would show power but not if I tested the wire eye directly. Took the wire off and sanded the connection and it worked fine. Good Luck!

My 1st guess would be faulty neutral start switch or trans gearshift not in neutral.
