Thank you SV that's where I thought the test ports were located.
Jim, as you know, the PTO clutch is inside the PS transmission, not at the flywheel, so it will take a bit more than a "split" to get to them.
If operating pressure is low, check operation and adjustment of PTO clutch valve per service manual.
The valve is operated by a really flimsy linkage that can bend when caked, hardened accumulated field dirt builds up under the steering pedestal, on top of the clutch housing, and gets in the way of the lever on the backside of the clutch operating valve.
When linkage rod bends valve lever doesn't get rotated to limit, and clutch pressure is low, and PTO clutch slips.
Just dealt with that, for the second time in a year.
Checking that may avoid a split, hopefully!
