1951 JD A front weights ?

Did John Deere offer front frame mounted weights for the 1951 A ? If not can model 60 weights fit? And any ideas for hanging newer suit case weights from the frame just behind front Roll-o-Matic wheels? Worried about hill climbing in New Hampshire.

Trying to solve the same problem with my 1950 B. Weights for the the 50 would fit if some holes are drilled in the side frame. I think weights for a 60/70
would be the same for your A, meaning they fit the front but would need holes drilled on the side frame.

They only made front cast iron wheel weights, but you could make your own cement wheel weights. and or make a bracket to bolt on the front pedestal to hold small lawn tractor weights. Be careful with the model B, the frame wasn't very strong. when they attached a four row cultivator to them they ended up with some cracked frames. john

I made a really easy to make frame work from some angle iron and flat iron that I hang a set of the compact tractor suitcase weight on the front of my B.
