2140 lift arms and rockshaft

Does anyone know if the spline where the lift arms fit onto the hydraulic rockshaft is a master spline or if the arms can be re-positioned on the shaft in different
positions?

The job is that I'm trying to do is to fit an Axla pickup hitch. The tractor lift arms aren't lifting high enough to latch the hitch even with the screws at the bottom
of the hitch lift rods (JD call them, "braces") arms fully in. It had a different Axla hitch before and the braces/lift rods on that look as if they have been welded
at the bottom, so possibly someone has shortened them to deal with the problem I seem to now have. There is some wear in pins but not enough to cause this. It is about
2 inches short.

The only thing I can see that might possibly be causing the problem is if the tractor lift arms are on the wrong spline of the rockshaft. If that isn't a master spline
I could take them off and move them round one spline, presumably to where they are supposed to be. If it is a master spline there may be something wrong inside - in
that case I'll have to just fit a wedge to take up the slack.

The arms look as though they are in the correct place when compared with another 2140 so I can't see anything wrong. I've ended up just welding in some steel wedges to the folding bit of the hitch lifting arms to reduce the travel a bit. Job sorted and hitch working with some adjustment now available on the screws.
