Deere parts website again

So the last couple weeks, everytime i went to the parts website

https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/

i could put in the model, it would let me select one, and then crash, ask me to reload, fail, every single time.

I was using google chrome, so just now i tried the same link on firefox and it works just fine....

and it seems like it works better, as far as selecting parts and going to check out.

All three seat parts came to 121 bucks at my local dealership

Oh i dont "like" it....

i AM glad i downloaded as many free parts catalogs as i did when it was still possible.. wish i would have downloaded more.

It works on your google chrome huh?

i must have some goofy setting jacked up....ugh....nothing ever simple

Call the dealer and ask if they still sell the seat kits. one part number and it had all the pieces at a better price.

I think it?s safe to say we all hate the new parts site! I hope John Deere haunts the idiot in charge
of running that site ?I said we must continue to make our product better not worse you half Witt ?

I have used firefox for years and prefer it.
Like most I didn't like the new parts site either and didn't use
it until forced to. I have to say it is getting better though. I
don't know if it is still furnished by Snapon or Deere got someone
else.
I don't like that I can't check prices anymore. I hope that is just
a temporary thing.

D,

i kinda bounce back and forth on firefox vs chrome, if i find sites that work better on one, etc etc...but for a couple weeks neither site liked the parts

Yea, it wont let me check prices till i put together a shopping cart full and it has my dealer information, then i can go check, but now my password wont work in firefox but will in chrome HA!

i dont think snapon is involved anymore, at least its not splashing up that way and i dont see a reference to it when going to the website.

Im getting used to it....

HA! this so stupid.....so firefox wont let me log in, but i can pricing and parts for what i wanted.

parts crashes when i use chrome, but i can log in, so when i directly enter the seat part numbers in chrome it says no longer available

HOW DUMB!

D-
I can check prices on the new JD parts same as the old site by putting PN in my shopping cart as long as I'm signed in. I do think JD parts site has been a little slow to load lately but I blamed it on my ISP(AT&T). Does anyone know if there's a "where used" search function for a part #?

Tx Jim,

when i first get to the parts page, it asks me for a model to search for, but that is also a drop down menu that will allow me to put in a part number and where used, but i cant seem to do that after selecting a part and adding it, i have to find the part, copy the number, go back and select part number search instead of model search

if that makes sense....

I have been dealing with the new site,,seems like it's best to click on the "My John Deere" at the upper right first ,this logs you in then go to the parts site ,,choose your tractor and then click on the parts you want, it will send the numbers to the parts cart,, then click on "view the cart" and it will bring the cart up to you...It's like most things,, give us Hill Billy's some time and we can figure any thing out...but it's unlikely a city Boy can ever get the plow hooked up....

Yes I agree. We have several JD tractors, tools, and equipment here.. Went to dealer and ordered $1000.00 parts one part was wrong size I had the receipt and part will not refund full price because I have no bar code. $31.00 will not break me but the attitude he used and the words makes me sad the JD website was changed also.

Thanks I attempted what you stated & it showed a list of "where used". Thanks again,Jim

OK guys.... I always sign in first. I have this link on my computer instead of going thru everything else. Copy and paste it in your address bar and save it. Saves time by going directly to sign in page.

I just noticed to the right of the parts number/info some parts say "See Price In Cart" others say "Contact Your Dealer".
Neither shows up in the cart until I "Proceed To Checkout". I guess I had forgotten that. It would be easier if prices were listed before check out.
I never order thru the site, just look up numbers and info then order by phone.

I place almost all my orders online- the local store needs a quota of online orders, so I figure it will help them meet their numbers. I even ordered all my filters/oils online last month, makes sure everything is there when I go. The parts guys send emails with expected times they will have it all together. Now I email them when I place the order to look for it.

I haven't had any real issues with the new system, maybe because my work is constantly changing computer programs for the worse, I'm kinda used to it.

D-,

your link, for me, just takes you back to the deere log in page. Its no different than the short link i have saved.

so here is another stupid update to this...cause its funny....

So now, firefox will let me log in in i click on the correct parts option, however, if i go to add seat parts and check out, it tells me they are not available, big ol red "NLA" sentences

however, if go to parts and NOT log in, i can add those same parts to the cart, select my local dealer and it will let me do that with prices HAHAHAH

maybe somebody should get one facebook and ask mr thinker what the deal is.....

They took some thing that worked good and "Screwed" it up,,they are doing the same thing with the tractors.....

You got that right TimS, they are working OVERTIME to screw this up.....but i am sure they overpaid for it....
