John Deere 2640 Question

I'm looking at a JD 2640 Tractor that got water in the
Transmission via the shift boots. The owner says he flushed it
out and got all the water out but now the loader it jumpy going
up and down unless you rev it up a lot and the breaks are
weak. The 3 point and power steering work fine also. I'm just
curious what experience anybody has had with this if it's the
front pump or did the water make the breaks come apart and
contaminate everything?

Water contamination of hyd oil can cause brake pads to fail. Do you know if trans sump screen was checked/cleaned? There are many things such as internal leaks on closed center hyd system other than a failed hyd pump that can cause FEL to be jumpy.

Unless the transmission oil and engine coolant service was meticulous and by the book since new . Pass the tractor on by.
