Regarding the New JD Parts Site.
I wonder if they are looking forward to ordering parts and having them arrive at your house or place of business (Maybe Tim knows, maybe they do this already/), like the Amazon Model. Like Tim S, many customers are way more expert on the parts than the guys behind the counter in my recent experience. These guys are not being paid a living wage so this will continue. With all the brick and mortar stores going out of business, Deere has to be looking/reacting to this, not to mention streamlining the business.
Also consider, right now I have shopping carts sitting at Steiner, Albilene, and All States with parts in them to convert my cab 4320 to Open Station. All done from my easy chair, all will arrive at my house, and I have a choice of "Restoration" grade parts or cheaper parts in some cases.
You can already can get a lot of JD Parts from Amazon and ebay. I hope they keep someone at the parts counter, they do add value. I think we are seeing change in process.
Deere has to be looking at all of this and planning ahead. I wish I could be a mouse in the board room.
Just my thoughts.
