hello TIM and others,, dug into a 7230 today that died. when cranking, the engine sounded like major loss of compression, so i pulled the exhaust manifold to see the valve action. only #5 ex. valve was moving, so removed valve cover & found 10 majorly bent pushrods. the turbo is dumping oil into the intake,,but only #5 showed a slight wettness,, all others were normal dry exhaust. the customer said he added 4 GALLONS of oil to crankcase to fill it.. any thoughts how the pushrods are bent up??? if all that oil flooded in at once looks like it would hydro lock the engine,, and it seems all exhaust ports would be wet..
