Whats a ROP from a 3020 worth?

My Dad's (now mine) 3020 had a ROP on it when I got it, probably used to have a canopy top, looks like it has all the holes for a canopy anyway.

I removed it during the restoration and bought fender brackets to mount the fenders on. My land is table top flat so I don't need it and it is ugly AF.

What is it worth? I have the 2 bottom plates but I had to cut the 4 bolts so whoever bought it would have to get the 8 old bolts out of it. In good shape otherwise, still has the JD stickers on it. Is it worth 200 bucks with the bolts stuck in it?

is it just the rop not a canopy also

My son is in the navy over there and he could get it if this other fella doesnt work out,931-248-2782

Yes, it is just the ROPS abd the 2 plates that go with it

Thastinger, ROPS from JD new is $805. Part number AR44777. I would think that $200 would be a steal, to someone who wanted one.

$200 is not a steal as all the bolts were torched off. Those bolts are over $30 each from Deere. It is worth what he wants but could take lots of work to remove the eight bolts and then replace them. Tom

I have bought a lot of ROPS over the years for my collection of New Generation tractors. I live in hilly country often with deep creeks or washouts so for me a ROPS is mandatory.

How is the paint job?

They tend to go for almost new price, but the plates and bolts have to be with it. If you price out the bolts and plates you will know why.

So, if bolts and plates are decent, subtract a paint job and that is your price. Like weights, they don't wear out unless someone has been welding junk to it.

Coming from the bottom end, it is certainly worth every bit of $400 if you just want to get rid of it or sell it to a good friend. A really good friend won't let you sell it to him for less than that. I never saw one for $200.

I have the plates. I didn't torch the bolts but did cut them. Paint is actually good and has all the stickers. Some surface rust where the fenders were mounted to them. I'm headed out of town today but will post back with a pic next Tuesday.

It will take some time and expense to remove bolts.as Tom stated the bolts are special grade and are expensive at JD. I have removed several and have used a ten foot pipe heat WD-40 and broke a couple large breaker bars that were unbreakable, and still couldn't get them so I go to local friends tire shop with big impact and He gets them everytime but sometime takes a little time.So the Rops is worth $4/500 your location in WA is a minus to most,8 bolts at $30each[you could use regular bolts but not heavy enough in case you need them.I would guess a machine shop would charge you more than you would estimate to remove bolts.Even though $200 doesn't seem like a lot you are getting correct value of $400+
