Hi folks,
I've got a 3020 Diesel, s/n <122k, so, no side console etc. I broke the rockshaft control cable; I have a replacement on the way, but, is there anything I should know before I start?
Cable broke at the dash-lever end, actually the aluminum tube where it bolts to the inside of the dash broke, it had been feeling like it was binding for some time, so, I wonder if it hadn't been partially broken and then I finished it by ram-rodding it around in the cold weather moving snow.
Looking at the situation, it appears there is a retaining clip on the dash-lever, and then it runs down, likely under the operators floor area, then down to the right rockshaft housing and to the lever.
At the moment I just have the front panel of the dash off--where the starter button/light switch is, but, I assume I pull the floor and just replace--a dirty looking job, but, not the dirtiest.
Thanks,
Joe
