Used oil transfer pump

Needing something to transfer used oil from totes to barrels. Store my used oil in 30 gal drums for my oil furnace. Isn't there a hyd pump w/pulley used on older Deere combines?

All of the 45-55-95-105 would use that for the main pump. The 3300-4400-6600-7700 w/hydrostatic transmission use one for the hydro pump.

I use a 1hp electric motor and a 1 inch gear pump here.

3300 4400 6600 7700 used a belt driven pump to drive the small grain head reel.

my neighbour and i share a pump between us for pumping used oil. made it from an old electric power washer.
it is on a little cart with wheels and the flange drive pump part went bad. took off the old water pump and made a small 90 degree bracket and bolted an old road grader
gear drive pump with one inch fittings. have a rubber love joy connector between the electric motor and oil pump.
it works great most days, can pump a 30 gallon drum in about 12 minutes in the summer. but yesterday it took 25 minutes.
when the oil is cold it dont suck very good. you have to use high end hose with ring braids in it so it wont collapse.
regular rubber hose will suck flat.
i also have a round 3/8 rod zip tied to the suction hose so that i can place it right down to the bottom of a drum. if you dont use something like this the hose will curl
up suck air, not staying in the oil.
i am planning on making another one that is bigger and honda gas powered. again im gonna look for a portable power washer with a good honda motor and bad pump.
or a wood splitter power pack would also work.
reason for the gas power is then if i go to pick up some used oil i dont need to reply on hydro. u would be surprised how much oil you can pick up for free.
thing is its messy and slow if you dont have the capacity. start big. and dont leave unattended.

I will second using the reel drive pump of a JD 100 or 20 series combine. They are a simple gear pump and can be bought pretty cheap. I put a suction screen on mine to catch the "big" pieces of junk.
