Muffler Mount H

I was moving some stuff by my 1946 "H" and hit the muffler with a fork lift and broke the casting the muffler mounts to. Quite a job to get it off but I was
hoping to be able to weld or brase it. Is this a do-able solution or should I try to find another part? I am not familiar with what is under that hood but know
manifolds are next to impossible to repair. Just weighing my options while keeping warm inside? cleddy

If you have a welding supply shop or a good parts store the will help you out on what to use on the cast. They make a stick rod that works good also brazing rods and if you have a wire feed welder you can use a small spool of wire for that job. I have used all of them and it all work good just clean up the area to be welded. If you are going to braze it get the brazing rods that are white coated them seem to work good for me. Then might have the rods that look like copper and u have to dip the rod in the can for its flux and that to me is ok not as good as the other and why buy to things to do the job when one works good and it keeps u on the work instead of having to dip. Let us know how you did we will try and help you out theres a lot of good guys on her that well help and they have help me.
