My daughter is restoring a 1931 D for a FFA project and we
have found the oil pressure relief valve spring broken. We
have not been able to find a replacement. Is there anywhere
to get these?

Depends on your serial number. You could make this easier on us by including that.

Serial 119100 and above calls for this spring
<a href="https://www.greenpartstore.com/John-Deere-Spring--A354R_p_46290.html" target="_blank">A354R</a>

But other sources (including posts in this group) suggest that this one subs for A354R.
<a href="https://www.greenpartstore.com/John-Deere-SPRING-R49648_p_30268.html" target="_blank">(SUB FOR A354R OR T19526)</a> This one is used in several rockshaft assemblies, 820 2040 etc.

Earlier serial number has F3463R which subs for D2001R and neither exist without a trace it would appear. But the broken one would serve to inspire a suitable replacement if you went to the right old school shop and presented your dilemma to them perhaps?

Looks like 1931 serial numbers start with 109944, so it looks to me like the correct spring would be D1995R.

End serial number for that spring, 119099 would be in 1934.

Serial breakdown book helps a lot. I was looking at filter oil pressure adjusting spring too.

<a href="https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=jd&th=356953" target="_blank">F-I-T in an earlier post</a> suggests D1995R is used in the powertrol for 60 and mother deere seems to agree, item #40. Still no hits on it either.
