Question about a 1520 diesel block.

I may need another block for my 1520 diesel.[long story] A friend has a block out of a 350 dozer that is a 152. I think that was what came out in a 1020. Will this block work in the 1520 which tractordata says is a 164.9 ? I have a new crank and sleeves for the 1520. Thanks for any help.

The block will fit and I think the cranks are the same.
Difference was in bore. You can look it up in JD parts
to be sure.
You do realize the HP will be less?

I think parts interchange between engine blocks will be determined by each engines serial number.

No. That's the difference between 1020 and 1520.
