John Deere A services manual

Does anyone know if John Deere made a service manual for a later style John Deere A. Not the IT manual. I see them for the b’s and g’s and stuff but not the A

I don't know about the newer styled one but I know with the unstyled tractors like my 1935 JD-B one did not need a service manual if you had the owners manual. The owners manual I have for my B which is the one that came with the tractor when new has all the info you need to do any thing to it

JD never made one for A's The I & T and the SM2004 for B's which is really good will help you.
JD may of made one for the 60 that would help too.

The JD B SM 2004 I would say that will work with about 90 percent of the A service. If you want to cover the rest of the A get the 60 SM 2008. There some differences
between the 60 and A but those differences that are pretty obvious.

I bought the SM2000 from Davenport Tractors for mine and it covers a lot. they also have ones for the carbs, power steering, etc.

What are the differences between the later A's & B's? Just the engine or was there more different(not counting length)?

The 60 manual will is real close. Some of
the pictures in the 60 book are of an A.

Cool, I have a friend who has a B service manual, that's why I was wondering. One of the clutch pulleys in the book looks the same as ours.

The 60 manual will have torque specs similar to the late model A. Assembly procedure for the A will be the same as the B.

Same thing for troubleshooting?

Trouble shooting will be the same for the A and B. But if you're gonna trouble shoot electrical problems you'll need SM2029. For Power trol questions you'll need SM2011

The tractor runs great, just having issues with the clutch.
