All new bearings installed in the tranny and final drive, burnt a smooth 1k dollars but boy is it tight now. Both bull gears had a bit of pitting in a certain section. Gear teeth were all in tact other than minor pitting looked good. I looked at few used bull gears but most all had same looking issues so i decided to put my gears back in. Next will be putting engine together with new pistons, reworked cam, head and all new bearings. Gotta find some 14 inch rims as I Just priced 2 new Firestone field and road 14.9-38s. I think they will look good on her. Looking forward to closing the tractor up and listen to it come back to life. Next wish list is a set of new fenders, wide front end and air stack. All will come at a later date as my finances allow. Thx for all the help received through the process on this board. Some of you have forgotten more than I'll ever know on these tractors. Thx again.

Show us some pics. I picked this one up last year, just did some minor work on it. Just waiting for spring to try it out. Good luck with yours.

Wish I was computer smart I would .Ive tried several times through my phone to upload photos with no luck. Would have been easy to let some of you look at some of the issues on parts. Maybe one day.

The bull gears can be swapped from side to side if worn on one side of the teeth that get used the most.

I'd like to see pictures, too. Transfer the phone pics to your PC. Easy to upload from there. May have to resize and rotate them but it's easier on the computer.

You can mount those 14.9x38 tires on 12 inch wide rims. They used to recommend a 13 inch wide rim but the rim companies don't make odd inch wide rims, just even inch rims.

I was shopping for anything from a 13.6x38, 14.9x38, or 15.5x38 last fall. The 13.6 & 14.9 could use my current rims. Price of new 14x38 deep well rims for the 15.5's was just stupidly high, but the cost to widen my 12 inch rims to 14 inch was worse.
