4020 orings in block for sleeves

Installing new sleeves & pistons in a 4020,when removed the red oring was in top groove and black in bottom. Deere service manual says other way. Which is right?

Red on top (or some times they are white)..Black on bottom,,if you can get the center groove clean put one in it, don't matter which color..if your kit has a flat style o-ring put it on the lower part of the sleeve,,"Not" up at the top of the sleeve..
