5 million ?

Hard to say as the net can't readily put a finger on that number. I want to say that I read a long time ago that Deere was a little over 3 million around the same time that IH 1066 was built. This would have included all facilities such as Dubuque, Mannheim, etc.. If I had to guess Deere today is over 7 million with Augusta, GA bringing large capacity. IH had a big head start over Deere with the Titan and Mogul plus the Farmall. I think that IH was closing in on 2 million towards the end of the Great Depression. I don't know if Deere had even built 300,000 by that point. Time to look up D production by year.

Not to start any thing but that was true the other day at a sale with john deeres and farmal and allis. There prices were high on the deeres and low on the allis. One guy there was happy because he was buying the tractors for scrap and the allis and farmall were getting bought by him and its a shame if he scrap them because it didn't look like it would take much to get them going.
