I have asked before . Never got a clear answer. Basic question is the 4 cylinder pull type and 4 cylinder baler engine compatible to the 1010 tractor. After removing the combine right angle drive an Oliver 60 bell housing fit perfectly. Fact is the John Deere engine has a standard Number bell housing. What is the rear of a 1010 engine like. There is a John Deere casting which bolts to the engine which adapts to the standard numbed bell housing. I would like to know if I found a 1010 tractor or crawler with either gasoline or diesel engine would my combine (pull type) engine fit?
