Just jumping in here , bleeding the system is a waste of time as the system will bleed itself . The reason it turns all the way one way is its loosing trapped oil internally due to worn O-rings and/or cut O-rings during assembly .The steering motor needs rebuilt including the fed-back piston .

Only when it's to their advantage. How there is a double standard banning English signs in Quebec and no law banning french signs in the rest of Canada is a mystery.

If the seat accumulator is bad the seat will be hard as a board to ride..no cushion at all...If you buy a new one they come with out charge,,and if your's is empty you may as well buy a new one, they won't hold a charge,,like a slow leak in a tire..

They are pricey too,,, the one on the transmission cushions the shift a bit,,a little harder to tell if it's bad.. they carry 90psi of compressed nitrogen in both of them..

I have used A&I accumulators with good results. IIRC they are $200 compared to Deere at $400. You will not here me say much good about A&I parts but These are half price and look identical.

Hello
I am now ready to work with my 4450 and already done some work with it :)
There are some small leaks on the front axle, that need to be repared.

And my question for the forum is, I am looking forward to repair the air condition. Now I found the specs http://www.apairinc.com/shopping/?model=10829 to fill up the system with R134a (already used in my 4450).
Does anyone have an idea if this amount of "coolant" is right? I also need them in kg so it should be about 1.47kg R134a.

Thanks for every help and as always excuse my moderate english, I hope its understandable

Hi Tim

Thanks for your Answer!
I can't do it by myself, so I don't know how much that one can is? Do you know it maybe in kilogramm?

Thanks
Stefan

Hello

Today my 4450 is in the "ac- shop" to get the aircondition back to work

But since the last silage work, the mfwd doesn't work correct. I am not able to turn the mfwd off.

What I tried to fix it is:
- Voltage check on the solenoid - ok
- Solenoid check for correct work (with a magnetic tester) - ok
- Valve test dissasembled - ok

So I think the valve works correct when it is expanded. But I am still not able to turn off the mfwd...?

Does anyone have an idea what I can check as next or did I forget something?

thanks in advance 8)

Stefan

Is the power at the solenoid switching off with the switch? Mfwd clutch is spring applied, powered off. That is when
there is no current to the solenoid MFWD is engaged

Hi Tech 7
Thank you for your help!

Yes if I turn the switch to off I have about 12,5 Volts and when switch is in on position it has about 1,4 - 1,5 Volts - so I think the switch works correct?
The confusion is, that I think it worked once when I dissasembled the valve and reassembled. (I am not 100% sure about that but I think it worked once on the testride after the repair  )

Thanks
Stefan

Hello

I have a new question about the 4450. I saw an aux hydraulic kit for the 50 series tractors, its also called power beyond. Will it be working to use a power beyond/ aux hydr. kit for 2 extra electric hydraulic valves?

Another question, does anyone have some experience with the ZF front axle? My front axle makes some "special" sound when the wheels are turned complete left or right and I drive slowly. (Ex. backing up with a trailer and turning much).
Maybe something I can check?

Thanks :!:
Stefan

ZF axles if it has gear oil in the diff they need to have gm limited slip additive put in the oil or the limited slip disks will bind and make noise also check the rim bolts and make sure they are not moveing / loose. They do have a power beyond kit it just give you supply and return ports to go to what ever closed center vavle you wont.

Hello rockcreek4630
Thank you for your help.
I have 80W90 gear oil in the differential, without an additive. Maybe I should try with a hydraulic oil? ( I found some informations about using hyd.-oil in zf axles in google...)
So my plan for the two extra hyd. valves should be working.
:p

Thanks!
Stefan

Hello

I grab this older topic back up. In the Manual it says, you should use 80w90, dependig the temparatures...
I will change for an 80W90 with limited slip add.

I have another question about the hydraulics. I am looking for a 3rd Valve kit. What is the difference between nr. I / II and nr. III Valve?
I have a valve here, but not sure if its working for nr 3?

The Number on the side is R70818 (or R70816) and backside is R71245.
What is a good place to get a complete kit? (valve, cover plate and small parts) ?

Thanks :!:

Stefan

Hello
ok I will try it there.
Any ideas if my valve will be working for number three? Whats different from Nr. 1 and 2 to Nr. 3?
I don't really know whats the difference..?

Thanks, Stefan
