Hello. I have a 50 that I put a 3 point hitch on. The powertrol operates the hitch, but the maximum it will lift is 300 lbs. This makes it hard to use my 3 point fertilizer spreader. So, I am trying to check the hydraulic pressure. The manuals show a setup with a gage and valve that goes between 2 remote powertrol plugs. I also see that some people have retained the 3 point hitch lifting capability while using the two threaded plugs on the side of the powertrol for a remote. John deere has a service bulletin on this.
So the question, couldn't I get an idea of the hydraulic pressure by just putting that gage into the side port of the powertrol and when the lift arms move up they will hit the stop and then I will build pressure. From everything I see I think the correct port to put it into will be the lower one which corresponds to the lower dummy plug.
anybody out there tried this??
thank you
