4240, front wheel hub situation

There's a lot of frozen slop, ruts, manure, etc. around where I hay. Anyway, I went through where I shouldn't have (snow drifts, ruts, sliding around), and ran over an old tractor rim that had apparently been knocked/slid over before the last storm (hard to find places to drive that work now). Front tire was about shot before I did it anyway, but that finished it. Also, bolts worked a little loose on me apparently since last summer, didn't look like very long though, but one head popped off. Having recently had minor surgery on my hands and arm, didn't feel like getting that out myself on top of getting the thing off, plus driving the 30 miles one way to get the tire, the other bolts barely came out as it was. Thought I'd drop it off while the tire was being fixed, save me some time since I wasn't done haying, and my backup tractor is down and I'm not getting to it soon.

Dropped it off at the little Deere dealer in town, best choice I have. Got looking at the back cone, hub was worn, wasn't holding the cone solid, while it was off, figured I'd do it right. Didn't notice it being loose last time I had it off, but I didn't clean all the gunk out either, bearing was greased well yet. So, he said he had a new hub there that would work, but it was a little different. They had issues getting bearings in, cone was different, but they found different bearings and put the cones in there, said it was fine. I took that, picked up the tire after waiting another hour (never had to wait there before, they took 3 hours, usually they are able to start right away, but busy then). Got home approaching dark. I checked the races, put in more grease, and went to put it on. Unless I'm missing something, hub isn't quite right. Bearings seem farther apart, outer/little doesn't seem to slide on the shaft all the way, it did slide on a little though. Since I absolutely needed to hay, I left it on. I left out the washer, then I could screw the nut on enough to put in a smaller pin, and I did a very little spot weld to hold the nut in case (didn't like the small pin only). I don't think if I baby it I will have issues for now, but I'm thinking I should have the right hub.

Just wanted to check and see if I missed something. Attached is the parts page. They also sent the wrong size #2 (I cut it to "just get it together" for now and be better than nothing, before I messed with the hub). New hub they sent is R48763, old is R49839.

Probably screwed myself using the parts, but I needed to hay, and my only other quick choice was using the old hub minus one bolt. Didn't want to try driving around with poor lighting with all the mess.

Didn't know if anyone was familiar with the differences between the two, but looking at the page, looks like this hub is only for a 4040. And I just want to verify that I'm right thinking I should get the right one. Thanks.

As a follow-up, got it situated. Never paid attention to the box, and parts guy didn't notice, but the hub was in the wrong (but would have been correct) box. That explains the guys having issues putting in the cone, they just didn't double check the number on the hub.
