Hooking up heater hoses to cab

Does it matter which way the hoses are hooked up from the engine to the cab on a JD 8850 or just a SGB tractor ?

I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference, guess if I had the cab top up/knew which hose was which I'd connect the one from the temperature control valve to the water manifold/thermostat area. The hot water supply line, in other words.

No it doesn't matter,, we use to switch the hoses on the trucks every other year to give the heater core a little "back flush"..seemed to help the heater work better.

Supply the heater with the hottest and highest pressure coolant . That is a port just prior to the thermostat.
Return coolant to the lowest pressure point in the system . There is usually a port into the coolant pump casting’s inlet side .

I can do that too as I've left a connection under the cab actually from when tractor has been in the shop years ago
