Working on a late 1970 5020 and the pto doesn?t work it turns but doesn?t have any power to it any idea?

If I remember correctly there is a lever on the floor plate that you lift and turn to engage the pto drive then the lever on the dash turns it on and off same as a 4020.Could be wrong, it's been 20 years since we had a 5020.

Check to be sure there's no dirt/debris around pto control valve linkage shown in photo below. Since pto clutch is hydraulically engaged there should be a hyd test port on tractor but I don't know where.

There is a port but my book says it should only
show 60 psi could that be right ? D**mn brief but
terse technical data again I really need to order the
John Deere manual but this project is about done
so not sure I want to spend that much money right
now . Thanks for the replies

Check lever on the floor just behind the dash. You have to lift it up and rotate 180 degres to connect the pto clutch. There is a chamfer on the lever to differentiate in and out but I never know.
