Cylinder from Model 8 mower

While waiting to rehab the Model 8 sickle, I thought I would use the cylinder as a top link for blade, rake, brush hog, etc. The cylinder is pretty hefty so i am wondering if it is too much for the top link bracket on the tractor.....anyone see an issue with this?

You'll need some sort of "swivel" or "link", as shown in this photo to allow the cylinder to swing side-to-side where it attaches to the tractor, or you will bend or break the cylinder.

Get a TSC or Rural King 2"X8" cylinder for the mower,,buy a separate one for the top link..

No it?s not to much for the top link bracket that
bracket will take a tremendous amount of force . I
use a 4x8 cylinder on the no. 8 mower because
that?s what I had available
