I have a 1971 4020 PS I wish to remove the injectors from. I bought this tractor out of MI a couple years ago and have only run it enough to park it in the shed but it sure seems to need a fuel system overhaul, tank cleaning, filters, injectors and pump in my mind. While this tractor looked nice when I got it I have found that many of the bolts are rusted tighter than any other tractor I worked on. I suspect it sat outside a lot.
It also needs brakes on the right hand side so will do both. I already re-built the seat mechanism and have started on the bound up throttle linkage.
Anyway, what suggestions can you give me regarding removing those injectors? I borrowed a tool once from a JD Dealer only to break it. Bad experience. Should I just start soaking them in penetrating oil. I assume I will have to find a tool to help remove them. Any Suggestions?
Thanks.
Paul
