Adjusting valves, one adj screw on rocker arm not as tight as I would like.What's best way to tighten up? Smash threads? Not sure I would trust LokTite. Rocker arm or screw NLA

Take a chance on a salvage yard or a new RE508317.

Deere lists RE19031 sub to RE31973 which are NLA in 1530 parts book. Deere shows your RE508317 and A&I subs to that part# also at a pretty good price. Thanks for your help, john

I SLIGHTLY smashed threads on adj screw on 3 sides w/small chisel. Worked good and am confident tappet will stay in adjustment
