Where to look for freeze cracks on a B???

Not a Deere guy but they have grown on me and am going to go look at a early styled B thats been sitting for awhile. Being unfamiliar with one, if a block/head was going to freeze crack, where would it usually? ie likely places to look?

Thanks!

Freeze cracks are usually on the outside where the material is thinner. I'd guess most likely the sides between the spark plugs and the main case flange. The top and bottom are cast heavier for bolt holes. But that's just my guess. May also be on the mating surface for the head. Look close all over and see if it has antifreeze.

Heads crack first and underneath. Blocks normally
crack along the LH side above the frame and include
head gasket area. Doesn't mean they can't crack
other places nut I have never seen a head crack other
than underneath. It is more common for heads to crack
but I have seen the head, block, and lower radiator
busted on the same tractor.
