I have what I think are 6030 JD pistons with 1.875 wrist pins and 4.750 bore with a parts # of A1655N.....They are on JD 466 rods parts number R71074...A search doesn't seem to show the A1655N number??? These are in a IH 570 cubic inch pulling motor..The JD pistons and rods plus Cat 3406 sleeves take a DT 466 IH up to 570 cubes..As you can see the first piston is pretty much torched.....The second piston is OK and has been decompressed..Thats the way I bought this tractor with the engine apart..

Don't know what you have. Those numbers don't show up in the 6030 parts files. My CD won't show where used. Any other guesses?

OOPs I'm still trying to get acquainted with "JD parts adviser" & although the results is the same I forgot to enter the term "part number" in search heading.

Thanks guys....I guess that it could be a custom built piston??? I know the mans name several states away that built the motor 7-8 years ago.... He won't answer the phone, wont return a message, or reply to an email...I was hoping that its an off the shelf piston that could be machined to what I need..

Agkits lists the specs for the 531A piston for the 6030

Bore Diameter: 4.750"
Piston Length: 5.56"
Piston Pin Diameter: 1.8742"
Compression Distance: 3.25"
Compression Ring Groove 1: 2-5/32"
Oil Ring Groove Width 1: 3/16"

I think you meant a 3306 sleeve because a 3406 is 5.4”

It’s definitely been modified. Trouble is by the time you buy them, have them modified it’s getting really close to being the same price or cheaper to buy a set of custom ones.
