Leaking steel fuel line on JD 60

Troublesome leak on my fuel line where the furled end attaches at the sediment bowl. Any used fuel lines available? Is it possible to extend
the fitting from the bowl and cut and refurl the old line? Would appreciate any suggestion or tips. I know to give great care to the bowl assembly

I had one that leaked. After looking closer, the fitting on the end of the fuel line had a hole rusted through it. Many suppliers offer the nut and fuel line fitting to repair or make your own.

In John Deere parlance, the fuel line ends aren't "furls", but rather "glands", and were still available from Mother DEERE the last time I checked.

You will need to be capable of silver soldering the "gland" to the steel fuel line, though, or get assistance from someone who can.

That's why I carry a big fire extinguisher on each tractor and rider lawn mower, and every truck.

Thanks everyone! Fuel line is ?obsolete? with JD. Will contact Sharps on Monday. Machine/welding shop is also an option.

On my 1955 JD 60 I went to my local NAPA store that had a line that I was able to carefully bend it to fit. Wasn't exactly original but it was pretty close. I may have had to get some fitting for the sediment bowl and carburetor.

You can get the steel line at the Auto Parts store and the compression fittings at the hardware store.

That's what I was going to suggest--get some steel brake line tubing and use compression fittings. With a little care, you can bend it yourself.

You can use pipe to set the radius without collapsing the line.
