6400 reverse weak

I have a 6400 that has not been used a lot in the last 3 years. When I got it the hydraulic fluid was low. Reverse did not work. After I filled the hydraulic it works but very weak. However some times it is OK. It works better in the "A" low range. Any ideas?

I would first check the adjustment of the link that connects the F-N-R valve to the cross shaft. it is located on the left side of the power quad module. With the shifters in nuetral you should be able to remove and reinstall the pin on the clevis easily. If required adjust the length of the rod so the pin slides in easily. it doesn't take much to throw this off. Also check that the cross shaft through the transmission rotates easily as binding will interfere with full range of travel

Thanks, I was beginning to think no one had an answer for this one. Probably makes sense. When we got it the leaver would not go into reverse. May have forced it a little to hard. I will check. Thanks again for the response!
