No...pistons have to match the bore diameter. Even if you tried,I doubt it would muster up enough
compression to even fire
 
another thing,you need to send the pistons you will be using in order for the machine shop to bore it to
the proper diameter, just can't bore a block without some reference to what diameter you are boring to
 
saw an add just says bored .045 over new rings, that was the reason for the question, I know you got to do pistons but not what add said.

nonsense.... I think if one is going to do a bandaid fix to it, why not put 45 over rings file the end gap to fit the cylinder & install the rings on the standerd
piston.
 
It was probably bored .045 at some time and it has recently been freshened up with a ring job.
