1952 Model A Belt Pulley and Clutch Assembly

I have the Clutch and Belt Pulley off of my 52 Model A. I see that the hole in the Operating Sleeve Arm where it fits over the Drive Pin is warn oblong. We are having difficulty getting the Pulley Gear (B2341R) off of the assembly so that we can remove the Operating Sleeve (B2345R). I have two questions. 1) What is the best way to remove the Pulley Gear? 2) What is the best way to repair the oblong hole in the Operating Sleeve? We have the assembly in the press and have applied penetrating oil and moderate heat. No Luck!

If it were my tractor? I would weld a 1/2" heavy duty thick washer onto the operating collar. I have repaired
many 2 cylinders this way, they have continued to perform well for years.

Warm the gear so a spit ball boils. Try not to heat the clutch pulley itself, just the gear. I've pulled them off with a good puller this way but now use a big press and they come off without heat. We bore the hole back to round and put a bushing in to get it back to the right size. The pin is probably worn also so you might want to check it out. Put new bolts in for sure and maybe dogs and toggle and pins if you want a real good operating clutch. We use Martin Tractor parts for all these parts.
