4600 Possible to work 6 ft box scraper blade ?

I have a 4600, power reverser,
turf tires, no loaded tires,
nothing in front. (~ 3400 lbs)

Can it pull a 6 ft woods HD GB-72
box blade (700 lbs)?

Or am I wasting my time?

I have an 855, not 4600. So I'm sort of on thin ice here, but I'd guess you'll get by OK if you go slow and don't get too aggressive - and if you put several hundred pounds of weight on the front end.

As soon as you get the box blade full to were it would work best, your going to run out of traction. No weight on the rear tires and turf tread will sink you.

I figured that weight transfer from the front to rear due to the pulling, along with the weight of the blade hanging on the rear end, would probably provide enough traction for the power he has. Still, if you're writing from experience, I'll defer to you. Unfortunately the abbreviated question doesn't tell us if the tractor has MFWD, but if so, that would sure help.

Maybe it would be a good idea before buying the box blade to get his tractor on somebody's box blade that's like the one he's contemplating getting.

It has the 4 wheel drive but With no weight in fron
I don't expect it to help.

I am building a 400 pound concrete weight
to fit on the front bumper bar.

Just poured the 4.7 (80 lb) bags of concrete.
