steering play

good morning all got the water pump replaced, small issue. The temp stay well with in the green, but when I shut it off a cup plus of water comes out of the over flow tub. Why is that?

Second question, the steering has a good amount of play in it. How do you adjust the steering wheel and remove the play out.

Loose steering could be in several locations. Worn bellcrank bush/brgs under fuel tank is a good place to inspect. Have you checked ball joints on each end of drag link? Remove rear inspection plug on clutch housing & be sure cap screw is tight that holds arm on splined shaft.
