electric fuel pumps

The mechanical pump needed replacing on my 820 3cyl diesel. My 55 combine had an electric inline pump that worked well when starting after sitting until harvest or any time as a backup.

If it is used on the 820 can I run it thru the existing pump or directly to the filters? Will the pressure of this pump have any effect on the Roosa Master injector pump?

You are better off replacing the lift pump, they are $20+ aftermarket.Putting the electric pump inline will work but you risk filling the crankcase up with diesel if the diaphragm has failed in the old lift pump.
