4600 custom front weight box (good attach method)

I am planning on building a 400 pound
concrete front weight box. The two
methods of attaching it to the front loader bar
is to embed some 1" black pipe from the side
of the concrete and form an inverted "U" to go over the bar.

And 2) to install 2 sets of 1/2 (J anchor bolts) into the
concrete one set above the bar and the other below
the bar and use two 1/4 thick plates to sandwich the bar
between each vertical set.

Any experience?

What are you planning on doing with the tractor that you need that much weight up front?

I have picked up a used 1,500 lb Harley rake.

I want to see if I can use it to groom several of my old fields
so my wife can use the lawn mower in the field. I tried a small
portion with no experience

and was impressed. However the front end is so light
that using the power reverser causes wheelies.
If it does not work out I'll have to sell it.
Buying a bigger tractor is not an option.

They are designed to prepare a clean smooth seed bed for a lawn AFTER the area has been graded. Not as a
tillage tool. Usually used in unison with a skid steer or loader tractor to pick up the stones, clumps,
and small sticks that are wind rowed. For your application a tiller might be a better more useful tool.It
will prepare a good seedbed with out the wind rows of grass and sod. JMHO

Never having used a power rake, and only seeing videos
and testimonials about how users would never give them
up, I figured the Harley rake would cut the high spots and
fill the low spots with minimum muscle power. I do have
a 7532 Cub Cadet with front loader and York rake that I
can use to remove the pulled up win rowed sod debris and rocks.
My biggest concern is avoiding the outcroppings of
bluestone and shale that kill my brush hog blades.

Avoidance is my only option.

With no loader on my Deere, additional weight is probably
required.
