DLTX 46 Adjustments

Here is the procedure

In addition to the procedure below ( actually , set idle at 2 turns initially )...once you have initially set needles and thrown throttle open to wide open...slowly close load needle all way. Tractor rpm should not change . If it does or stops, your carb needs re-built and/or your intake manifold is cracked and/or leaking air. If , in fact it stays running fine at fast idle, now start to slowly close the idle needle little at a time until tractor stops. From there open it back up 1/4 turn and leave it alone. It's set. Now open load back up 1 turn and re start tractor. Throw open throttle quickly and if it accelerated without spitting and popping cleanly up to wot then load is set and will be fine for anything less that pulling a plow etc in which you may want to go richer or leaner 1 - 2 clicks if needed. You always set idle with load closed and at wide open throttle. (load must be open to get it to wide open tho)

Thanks guys. I'll see if I can run through this in the next couple of days. I may also need to have the ports drilled out. Can you email me separately your info(price/timing/shipping address) in case I want to send you my carb? Thanks.

Thanks Randy. I'll send you the carb. I have a local tractor show on Sep 28-30..any chance you can have it back to me by then?
