694AN Planter

Anybody know about the 694AN planter? I see one for a pretty good price and looking for a planter. What does the "N" stand for? It's set up for 30" spacing and uses plates. Can I use it to plant other seed besides corn?

A plate-type planter is about the most versatile type of planter around IF you have the right
plates for the seed you're using. All Deere plate-meter planters since about the WWII era use the
same plates so there's a lot of them around and new ones are still available. One little catch is
that they need graded corn seed to do a really good job and that isn't as common as it used to be.
Other styles of plates can handle things like soybeans, milo, sunflowers, various vegetable crops -
just about anything. Some plates require special filler plates, knockout wheels, or hopper bottoms
so it can be tricky to get them set up right for special crops.

I'm pretty sure the "N" stood for "narrow" since the normal x94 planters were for wide rows.
