420W Head Gasket Question

I ordered a new head gasket kit for my 420W after having to repair a stuck intake valve. There is a gasket in the kit that I have no idea where it goes. It's the one circled in red. Any ideas?

My first guess is for the distributor.

Good to know and have, I guess. Why do they put that gasket in the kit? I didn?t have to do anything with the distributor when I pulled the head. What am I not understanding?
