Model D missing under load

Was out plowing with the D, usually an excellent runner and halfway down the field, the tractor suddenly started missing and sounds like it is running on one cylinder. Take the load off and it idles normally. Now I can't get it to take a load without it immediately running on one cylinder. My initial thought was fuel restriction but it acts the same on either fuel tanks. I took the carb off and it appears to be clean. Cleaned out the idle passages with the drill bits. Checked and blew out all fuel lines. I have good fuel flow through the carb and the needle is shutting off. Fuel level in bowl is set at 3/4" but tractor still drops a cylinder as soon as a load is applied. Starts and idles good. I am going to get new plugs to put in it tomorrow, is there anything else I can try? Thanks

Any way to put a load on it and then pull one plug off and see which cylinder is not running. If you can find that out you might be able to move the plugs and see if it is a bad plug or plug wire.

Wouldn't hurt to put in a new condencer in it also. Mine done like yours and thought it was the fuel side I checked the fuel flow and the carb got cleaned still done the same thing. Even put in new plugs and it didn't help. I changed the condencer and that was my problem the whole time.

Had an A do the same thing years ago. Ran perfect with no load. Under load, it ran on one cyl. Ended up replacing the coil. Solved the problem.

I had the same issue with my AR. For me it turned out there was a rust flake lodged in the fuel inlet in the sediment bowl. Tractor would start and idle well and ran well just driving around. There appeared to be good flow to the carb, but it was just enough restriction that it would not get enough fuel well under working load while disking.

I agree with others, could very well be ignition, would suspect bad plug wire before coil of condenser.
