Has any one added a cab caddie to there tractor. Where do they fit ,and are they fastened on some how. Put new upholstery in the tractor and left out the ash tray.Figured something like that would be better than an ash tray.

My 4240 has a sound guard cab. I bought a gray plastic cab caddie, I think from Abilene Machine, although several places sell them.
I put the cab caddie on the right (on the wheel well) between the hydraulic knobs and the window (rear of the ashtray).
You can shove the top edge of it underneath the window sill edge.
On my 4240, there happened to be a hole somebody else drilled thru the insulation & wheel well, so I just made a hole in the caddie at an appropriate spot, then used an appropriate sized bolt to keep the caddie anchored to the wheel well.
Seems to work for me.

There are a lot of nice cab cadies for the JD Sound Guard Cabs.

Check out All States Ag Parts.

A popular place to attach many of these is the window lip facing the operator at the bottom of he side windows. A word of caution, there are wires under that lip and upholstery. If you drill a hole in that lip as is common you need to watch out for the wires. The last 4450 I did the wires were damaged on both sides. Luckily they did not short out.

On the 4450 where I did a new interior, Fehr Cabs, I built a special formed plate mounted with stand-offs to the right fender and above the upholstery to mount equipment monitors and controllers and also route and control the needed wiring. It really cleaned things up. I also built a master fused distribution box with common ground and individual fused circuits. I also had a master switch with blue indicator LED to open the circuits when not in use. Most of the parts were on Amazon; the boating industry has great wiring accessories. The owner loves it. If anyone is interested I could post pictures.

If you just want to buy some nice cadies check out All States or just Google Cab Cadies for John Deere Tractors.
