On my 720 D I have a push button that when you push it, it sends current to the fuel gauge and to the rheostat in the tank so I can see how much fuel I have left. When the button is not pushed, I put a volt meter on the output side of the button and to ground and I am still getting a very very small voltage coming across like 0.19 volts. Is this normal, or is my button bad? Will this cause my batteries to go dead after awhile, or can I just ignore it and not worry about it?
I converted my 720 to a 24 volt electric start with two 12 volt batteries. I have one wire coming directly from the positive terminal of one of the 12 volt batteries to the push button, and then to the fuel gauge and rheostat. I changed the rheostat to a 12 volt positive ground, and the fuel gauge to a 12 volt also.
