Hi Fellas,
My 88 Year old neighbor has a really nice old JD 4440 that has lost all of its hydraulics. We cleaned the screen, replaced the filters and fluid. There was a lot of debris in the screen, looked like brake pad material and the filters were dirty. Steering, seat and brakes seem ok. There was a lot of emulsified looking milky fluid in it when we changed it but its all clear now. The module behind the right hand SCV has a large bolt in the top that looks like it rides on a ball valve. It appears a little worn on the end where it would ride on the ball valve inside, its chamber was full of emulsified fluid where all the other was clear. Any ideas at all on where to start troubleshooting this? thanks in advance for your help.
