7810 pto shaft stripped

Have a 7810 power quad that stripped the splines off of the 540/1000 pto shaft and inside the tractor. The shaft can be replaced easy enough but what does it take to replace the splines and parts needed inside the tractor?

have to drain the oil and then remove the rear cover that houses the pto, about 12-16 bolts that will take a 15/16" socket and then what ever else has to come off to get that big cover off. we usually hook the cherry picker to the pin for the center link then put a pipe on the pto shaft to use as leverage to bring the housing out straight. once that is out there will be about 5-6 bolts holding the clutch/bearings to the cover that will come off and then the hub (or drive shaft as Deere calls it) should be in there. i have never had to replace the drive shaft but have been into the pto clutches a few times, but its been a little while ago, so that's about as far as i can get you, should be evident what needs to be done once you get the cover off and clutch out of there. no gasket, they use "loctite 515" or "loctite high flex form in place gasket" both in a red squeeze tube available from deere.

took the back off one earlier this year to do that but noticed the crown wheel and pinion gears where both damaged before ordering the (v expensive shaft) so unfortunately the tractor became spare parts to allow others to live.
