Adding fill and drain plugs to 48 B first reduction gear cov

I have the clutch apart on my 48 b and I figure now's the Time to pull the first reduction gear cover and add fill and drain plugs to the cover. Does anyone have pics of where they added these to theirs? I figure I would use my 60 as an example to copy. Removing the cover seems pretty straight forward, remove right brake and clutch and transmission gear cover and nut then pull it off. Anything I should watch out for. Thanks,

Pete

There was a service bulletin about adding them. The drain needs to be in the lowest spot on
the side of the housing and the fill on top to the rear of the engine oil filler.

Thanks, that's about how I did it. Can I make my own gasket and out of what material. The old one is pretty well intact as it's only 4 years old so I thought I would trace it.

We use Right Stuff, a gasket maker-sealer. It works really well and makes parts hard to get back apart it sticks so good. make sure both surfaces are clean and you don't
need much as it will squeeze out to the right thickness. Best to leave over night for it to set up before adding oil but not totally necessary. $25 for a big caulk tube at NAPA.
