Have a nd 4630 that I bought with quad range 2 speed not working when you shift it from 1st to 2nd 3rd to 4th so on took filter out sump screen out took clutch valve off to get a better look have a qusteion about the tube and clamp for the 2 speed if anyone has experience with them greatly appreciated thanks!

I was using a miorrir it looks like someone has updated to the new tube and clamp my question should the clam be resting flush against the housing I'm not sure it's like the bolt is loose just curious if you have seen this before because if the clamp is not down tight not sure if it could be leaking fluid or not just trying to get some input and figure out why the 2 speed is not shifting thanks again for the help

New style clamp is flush however the side opposite the bolt
probably has clearance. The line did not leak until the tinny
original clamp broke and the line blew out.
Did you check pressures? Do you have a linkage problem?

I have seen a bit too long of bolt used to install the new clamp and it puts too much pressure on the detent spring that is under that bolt,,and it will not shift,,so I am wondering how long it's been since the new clamp was installed,, and also if yours was an early serial number that would have had the flimsy hold down clamp to start with..I think it was TRACTOR SERIAL NO. -025360 that had the weak ones.

thanks mine is deff off the housing and not touching but the bolt is still in much appreciated

I wanna say that the bolt that's in there may be the wrong one because tractor will not shift with the 2 speed and the clamp is up off the housing I'm afraid to tighten the bolt down if it's not the right one plus I'm working thru clutch valve so things are little tight thanks any other input is appreciated

Split it at the clutch housing remove the operating housing and check it out, you can deal with that with out removing the Hi/Low..and you can air check it to prove it..
